What, me, posting on LJ? Well, there are more folks here and I could use some cash.

Recent events* mean it's time to put out feelers for:

- Sarpedon (MD Ryu/senior delf body)
- Moz (Morrissey Minimee/DZ body, which will need modding to properly work with the head)
- possibly one of the extra minotaur heads

I can do a more in-depth post later; just wanted to toss this out there now.




*I now have a bunch of "free time," and though I've got a nice safety net I'd prefer to dip into it as little as possible.

Elaia's head came back from Yama today, and she's even more adorable in person. :3 She needs a wig and clothes, though. Will be on the lookout for just the right ones. I need to take photos as well, but no time tonight unfortunately.

A large chunk of time after work was devoted to helping Jabberwock finish shedding. I imagine the crappy shed was a result of some stress from the journey/settling in here, as well his not keeping as hydrated as he should. On the positive side, he was an absolute angel and put up with a lot from me with nary a complaint. Plus, in his attempts to shed he started exploring the cage more. Here's hoping he keeps it up and starts being more adventurous.

Also on the positive side, looks like Bander just shed perfectly, so he's back on track. :)

OK, here we go.

- First off, since I'm new to actually selling BPAL, I'm not sure on shipping costs (and I need to actually go get bubble mailers and some small boxes and whatnot tomorrow). I figure imp-only orders can go regular mail packed in bubble mailers, while any orders with bottles should be in a box and sent priority (with insurance at your discretion but highly recommended). I won't have anyone pay me until I've got my shipping supplies so I pack stuff up, weigh it, and get shipping costs.
- US shipping only.
- Paypal only. As usual, I do not charge Paypal fees.

The new wig is now his default, because it goes with his faceup much better than the plain white one did.

The more I look at Limhwa's Luna, the more I like her. I was tempted to order during this past ordering period, but held off because I'd like to see owner pictures. My current train of thought is this:

Eris: ditch the french resin Limhwa human shell and make her a beige urethane Luna. Though I do like the human sculpt, I think Luna's a much better fit for how I imagine Eris.
Klytemnestra: bring her into doll form as a beige urethane half-elf (maybe mod the ears to be human). She's related to Eris and sculpts look enough alike that it works. Plus, I was already thinking about using the half-elf sculpt for her.
Iris: keep her a Supia Roda, but switch to urethane (probably white because Tiresias and Sparagmos are white). Though the french resin is lovely, Iris' yellowing is now starting to bug me a bit.

These are just thoughts right now. Obviously changing everything around would cost a lot, and would take some time. Will have to ponder it. Plus there all the half-finished dolls I already have. :\ And I'm still waiting to see if Soom will come out with a centaur.

Also, I should have some news to post about sometime next week. I posted about it on my other LJ last week and then some bad things happened. So now I'm keeping mum on the details until all is said and done lest I jinx it again.

Though I've been quiet of late, I've been trying to keep up with folks' entries. Between moving and work and volunteering things have been pretty busy. The moving should be finished up this weekend, though I'll be without internet until mid next week.

Eventually I'll dig myself out from under the boxes and take some doll pictures. But don't hold your breath.

Hmph. So close, and yet so far.

I love the Sard body. Love love love it. It's perfect, and so glad to have nabbed one. What isn't working--as I already knew--is the Minimee head. I've always had an issue with how the nose is so tucked in, and shape of the back of the head. And due to how shallow the neck hole is, the neck looks way too long.

In order to be truly happy with Asterion, I need to find someone to mod the damn head--I do have a spare white one--and possibly the Sard neck, if necessary. Finding a body has been priority #1, but really, it all comes back to the issues I've had with the head from the beginning.

One day, though, he'll be finished!

My original plan for the day was to take pics of Sparagmos and all the dolls that got Mystic eyes.

Well, I tried.

I wish the sun had come out just a bit to really show off the eyes. As it was, none of the pics of Iris really worked (Summer Tree is lovely, but the camera couldn't pick up the color in the light). Sarpedon...his chocolate eyes didn't show up too well, either, and I'm still having wig issues with him. The wig I like best on him doesn't work all that well color-wise. And the one that does work color-wise doesn't really work as far as style. And I currently suck at styling fur wigs. So none of him, either. Elaia doesn't have faceup, so I didn't even bother bringing her out.

But Eris, because her eyes are light in color, did take some decent shots.
